Marvin Brunner is member of Troika who is involved in Operation Guillotine. He is also set to appear in the upcoming novel, The Wayward Astronomer.

Marvin mainly resembles a rhinoceros, with a large build and what appear to be stripes on his fore-arms.

History

Prelude

As Robert was looking for the building related to the address he received, he was confronted by Marvin, who asked if he was lost. He then took him inside to inform Sage about what he was carrying. She started to berate him for bringing him in and asked to take him back outside, presumably to kill him. He then handed over the paperwork he got involving Anise and the CCA, surprising her.

The Wayward Astronomer

As currently The Wayward Astronomer has yet to be published and is currently being funded the information will be limited during and after funding to avoid any major spoilers out of respect to the author.

Volume 4

Chapter 10 - 12

Marvin was first seen attending a meeting with Igrath and Scinter regarding on how to kill the attorney general, as part of a special operation to take down all the Dark Dreamkeepers currently occupying Anduruna. Later, he and his fellow soldiers reacted to Kalei's unexpected use of her Power by activating their own.

Later, after Viriathus returned with her squad and the people they needed to retrieve, Marvin was seen escorting Tinsel away to be questioned.

Power and Abilities

Unknown Power: When Kalei unleashed her Power on everyone, Marvin reacted by activating his own, spawning a Halo above his head. It is currently unknown what sort of Power he possesses.

Trivia

• Marvin is currently the first (if not so far anyway) character from the main comic/Prelude to appear in another work.
  • He is also the only representative (so far) of Troika to appear in The Wayward Astronomer.
