CCA Shock Troopers are responsible for responding to breaches of public safety in Anduruna, in particular the abuse of Powers. Although cracking down on unlicensed Powers-users is their main job, they also carry out raids on criminal hide-outs, such as those occupied by the Troika.
Equipment[]
They are outfitted in heavy protective gear, especially on the left side. This armor is likely enough to provide substantial protection from weaker Power users, though it is still vulnerable to more damaging attacks, as demonstrated by Scythe. Their helmets are fitted with optics that can sense heat signatures and cancel out smoke, and they commonly carry Springer rifles. Heavier weapons, including explosive projectiles, are used to assault buildings with well-entrenched or particularly dangerous criminals, and are used by special "fireteams".
Organization and members[]
The shock troopers are part of the Central City Authority led by a Captain, a post currently held by Antioch. Currently, the only named shock trooper is Commander Cal. However, Ravat used to be a shock trooper before leaving to become a Dark Dreamkeeper.
Volume 2[]
Following observation of Igrath, Grunn, and Scinter by the Mokoi, two squads of shock troopers arrived in the Kojiki District to attack the house. However, they were repulsed by Igrath and Scinter until relief arrived in the form of Indi and Digo.
Volume 3[]
When Woods, Damon, and Bill were looking for their rendezvous point with the Troika, they were captured by what appeared to be shock troopers, but were really Vi, Karo and a third, unnamed Troika member wearing the armor as a disguise.
Two squads of shock troopers were sent to the Neon Knives' hideout when they were apparently alerted by Vanth. Although Scythe's Power killed some of them, the others opened fire on the scaffolding surrounding the building, bringing it down. They proceeded to arrest the surviving Neon Knives.
