Arazu was the overlord who was left in charge of the Nightmares during the Silent Centuries while Void left the Dreamworld to conquer other realms. He was tasked with executing the remaining Dreamkeepers who had yet to be slain from the initial Nightmare onslaught.

CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD

SpoilersIncoming HOLD IT, reading powers are restricted beyond this point!

This article contains actual spoilers from both GNS and Prelude that may reveal major plot points and hidden character information. If you wish to be saved from the nightmarish reveals, tread carefully and read at your own risk!

Appearance

Arazu is of a peculiar bodily shape, his body colored in shades of black, grey and silver. While appearing mostly anthropomorphic with a pair of large arms, large legs and a thin mid-waist, he has large, T-shaped appendages with keyholes sticking out from the top and side of his shoulders. A pair of fish hooks, each on a string, are connected to the left-most T-shaped appendage. His mouth is located in his chest and has only one white eye in his head. Spikes of varying length and shape protrude from his arms, legs, and head.

Personality

Nothing is known about Arazu's personality. Considering his allegiance and role in the Nightmare ranks and the ferocity of the Silent Centuries, it can be expected that he was a heartless and cruel leader towards Dreamkeepers.

History

Past

Silent Centuries

Little is currently known about Arazu other than from dialogue and text. Upon Lord Void's reawakening, Scuttler explained that Arazu had vanished during the executions and Nabonidus had taken his place as overlord.

According to the ancient scrolls Lilith had copied from the Lost Archives, it is revealed that Arazu convinced Nabonidus to open a gateway between the Dreamworld and Bralgu using twin sacrifices in a summoning ritual. As the Nightmares ravaged the Dreamworld, Void would leave to continue his campaign of conquests elsewhere. Arazu would then be decreed the overlord of the Nightmares in Void's place. As Arazu prepared to give the order to execute the remaining Dreamkeepers, Nabonidus interfered and defeated Arazu supposedly by Serapis's order.

Powers and Abilities

Hook Manipulation: While Arazu's overall abilities remain unknown as he has yet to be seen, his artwork shows he has fish hooks that he can bring out from his own body; which can be assumed he uses for combat purposes though his proficiency has yet to be seen.
